ArcheoParc - how the Iceman lived

Schnals in Vinschgau Valley

The ArcheoParc Schnalsis  situated in the village Unsere Frau in Schnals in Vinschgau Valley. In this archaeological museum the visitors can see and learn more about the Iceman and his life.

Ötzi was found in 1991 behind the mountain ridge of the Tisental, which is visible from the museum and the outdoor area.

The ArcheoParc is the first archeological Museum in South Tyrol. In the reverse engineered Stone Age village it is easy to envisage the everxday life. The visitors can try and imagine how life was in Ötzi’s time: pottery, working flint, fire starting…
